FGZ was appointed by The Mvula Trust to deliver critical sanitation infrastructure upgrades at Dumalisile Junior Secondary and Macosa Primary Schools in Mqanduli, as part of the Sanitation Appropriate for Education (SAFE) Initiative. This project formed part of Cluster 102 in the Eastern Cape and focused on addressing omitted scope items from the initial phase—ensuring that learners have access to safe, functional, and dignified facilities.
Key project highlights include:
Subsurface Drainage Construction: Installation of underground systems to support efficient waste management and toilet functionality.
Soakway Systems: Engineered solutions for effective wastewater absorption and environmental safety.
New Walkways & Garden Walls: Paved paths and neatly constructed walls to improve accessibility and create a structured, welcoming environment.
V-Drain Construction: Stormwater control along garden perimeters to prevent erosion and protect landscaped areas.
Diamond Mesh Fencing: Secure perimeter fencing to enhance safety and define school boundaries.
This project reflects FGZ’s commitment to delivering impactful infrastructure where it’s needed most—laying the groundwork for safer schools and healthier learning environments in rural communities.
